Job Description
Rush Expediting, a second-generation, family-owned logistics company, is looking for experienced CDL Class A Driver to join our Dayton terminal team. We’ve proudly served Ohio since 1981, providing reliable local and regional service — and we treat our drivers with respect and professionalism.
This position is a 2nd shift role, starting around 4:00 PM and running approximately 8–10+ hours per shift. If you’re a safety-minded professional looking for steady work, great pay, and excellent benefits, this is the place for you.

  • $27.00/hour starting pay
  • $3.00/hour shift differential from 8pm - 4am
  • Additional $2.50/hour when dispatched on a Hazmat load

Job Requirements
  • Valid Class A CDL with air brakes endorsement
  • Live within 30–40 minutes of our Dayton terminal
  • HazMat & Tank endorsements preferred (must obtain HazMat within a reasonable amount of time after hire)
  • Clean MVR and CSA score (no 15+ mph speeding tickets; no more than 2 moving violations in 12 months or 3 in 3 years)
  • Minimum of 18 months of verifiable experience, in the last 3 years with no more than 3 employers, driving a tractor-trailer.
  • Valid DOT Medical Card & ability to pass a DOT drug screen
  • Knowledge of DOT hours-of-service rules
  • Able to work in all weather conditions
  • Able to lift, push, or pull up to 70 lbs without assistance
  • Positive attitude & strong customer service skills
