Mobile Industrial Mechanic – Waste Industry

Location: Based out of Burnham, IL but travel to OH, KS, NH, TN, and more to come.
Schedule: Some repairs will require nights and weekends.
Compensation: 150k plus annually
We're seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic to join our hardworking team in the waste management industry. This role is vital to keeping our operations moving—literally. If you’re passionate about fixing things, staying mobile, and working where you’re needed most, this is the job for you.
Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and emergency repairs on our proprietary compactors.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on-site
- Welding, Torching, Fabricating
- PLC Programing and Diagnostics
- Travel to various job sites—often on short notice
- Work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- Build and develop a team as our compactors expand. Currently 18 in service.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of industrial mechanical experience (waste industry preferred)
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills
- Willingness to travel frequently and work non-standard hours
- Valid driver’s license CDL a plus
- Ability to work independently and in tough environments
