Class A Lead Driver
      
Location: Pleasant Prairie, WI 
Position Type: Full-time
Pay Range: 65,000 - 83,000 Annually

       

Job Summary:
As a Class A Driver Lead, you will play a key role in supporting daily operations while upholding the highest standards of safety, customer service, and compliance. This role requires strong communication and a commitment to operational excellence. As a Lead Driver, you will also assist in the training of new drivers to ensure adherence to safety, performance, and compliance standards.
   
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the training of new drivers to ensure adherence to safety, performance, and compliance standards.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including use of safe driving practices, and accurate use of Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) for Hours of Service (HOS) compliance.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in meeting customer expectations, including scanning accuracy and on-time deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, incidents, and personal performance.
  • Communicate effectively with the Transportation Manager and team members to address route changes and resolve issues quickly.
  • Participate in safety meetings and ongoing training to stay current with company policies and best practices.



Requirements:
  • Class A CDL required
  • Current DOT Medical Card
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • 2+ years of professional driving experience
  • Working knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation compliance
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong sense of urgency and professionalism in resolving issues
  • Must pass a drug and alcohol test.
